Landini SpA is an Italian agricultural machinery manufacturer specializing in tractor design and production. Founded in 1884 by Giovanni Landini in Fabbrico, Italy, the company began developing tractors in 1925. After Giovanni’s death that same year, his sons took over the business and completed the first tractor prototype. Landini has since grown into a prominent name in the agricultural machinery industry, continuing its legacy of producing quality tractors for over a century.

1925-1989: Landini operates independently, developing its tractor business
1989: Massey Ferguson acquires a majority stake (66%) in Landini
1994: Two significant events occur:

Massey Ferguson is acquired by AGCO
ARGO SpA increases its ownership share in Landini

2000: ARGO SpA acquires the remaining 9% of Landini from AGCO, gaining full ownership
Post-2000: Landini, under ARGO SpA ownership, continues to supply some tractors to AGCO under a supply agreement.
